Your content belongs solely to you. All drawings, lessons, vector paths, notes, and media generated in Whiteboard Studio remain stored strictly inside your device's private sandboxed local storage.

User-Initiated Only
Android Permissions: android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO • FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE
Purpose: Required exclusively when you choose to record an instructional lesson video with voice explanation. The microphone is accessed strictly while recording is in progress.
Storage & Privacy: Audio is multiplexed into the local MP4 video file on your device. Audio data is never uploaded, analyzed, or shared with third parties.

Android Permissions: FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROJECTION
Purpose: Allows recording your whiteboard canvas and drawing actions as an MP4 lesson. Android requires an explicit system confirmation dialog before screen capture begins.
📷 Camera & Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
On-Demand Only
Android Permissions: android.permission.CAMERA
Purpose: Used only when you choose to snap a picture of a diagram or textbook page to insert onto the whiteboard, or when using the OCR text scanner to extract printed notes.
Local Processing: OCR text recognition runs 100% on-device using local ML Kit models. No camera imagery is ever transmitted over the network.

Purpose: Android requires a visible, persistent notification whenever lesson recording is ongoing so that you are always in control and can Pause or Stop recording at any time.

Standard Access
Android Permissions: android.permission.INTERNET • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Purpose: Standard network access used only if you choose to export or share a PDF/image via external sharing apps (like Google Drive, Gmail, or WhatsApp) or view online support.
3. Data Collection, Tracking & Analytics
- No Tracking: We do not track user activities, keystrokes, drawing contents, or GPS location.
- No Ads: Whiteboard Studio contains zero advertising SDKs and does not read Android Advertising ID (AAID).
- No Accounts Required: You do not need to register, provide an email address, or log in to use the full capabilities of the whiteboard.
4. Data Storage, Control & Deletion
You have full ownership and control over your data at all times:
- Local Deletion: You can delete any individual lesson, page, or recording directly from the app interface anytime.
- Exporting: You can export your lessons as PDF or high-resolution PNG images directly to your device storage.
- App Uninstallation: Uninstalling Whiteboard Studio permanently removes all locally saved lessons from the app's sandboxed storage.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Whiteboard Studio is an educational tool suitable for educators, students, and families. Because we collect zero personal data and display zero targeted advertisements, our application is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K).
